This week, I received inquiry for my remaining inventory of memorial park lots that we given to us by our mother. I said they were no longer for sale because I may have relatives who would not have burial grounds later on. I suggested instead to try: body crypts or cremation. It is regrettable that as of now, at the first project I established, I could not help him/her family because there are no more plots. We started selling at P5,000 each and there were no takers
How much is the prevailing selling price of memorial park plots? It is P130,000.00. Why? Because there is no more inventory (available plots) In 30 years, the memorial park plots have been sold out, and there are no new projects in the pipeline. The demand of 500,000 a year deaths outstrips the production of plots which could be no more than 50,000 a year (check HLURB announcement of new projects) With so many approvals needed, and red tape, and bureaucracy, not too many would build more memorial parks.
So sellers, please explain (ABE) this to your prospects.
