Tributes for Life - Memorialization - last word by a Mausoleum builder

Image result for michael adriano architect

Arch Michael Adriano, the famous country renowned award winning architect who is my  kababayan and kapook, who designs stunning beautiful mausoleum has these last words on why he designs the mausoleum:

"  FOR ME THE TRUE PURPOSE OF  A MAUSOLEUM IS IS TO HONOR THE LIFE OF THE PERSON WE ARE COMMEMORATING.  I BUILD A MAUSEOLEUM BECAUSE SOMEONE LIVED NOT BECAUSE SOMEONE DIED...

That captures the true essence of why we develop build and sell memorial parks and related products and services...TO HONOR THE LIVES OF PERSONS, because they lived and not because they died...To honor their labor, love, and legacy - their contribution to the society for today and future generations.  They are tributes to the works and accomplishment to humanity.  And for that they deserve the best...

Architect Adriano and us build memorial parks and mausoleum to memorialize the lives of people.   To honor their memories.    This is the basic reason why we are here...

Various forms of memorialization to make our memorial service unique and special

The #memorial experts

TO:   Holy Gardens Pangasinan

        Holy Gardens Calamba

I visited the wake of  mother Ms. Mila Manaig and we discussed  the possible improvements of the flower arrangement:  At her service (almost 150,000) there should be fresh flowers daily, not only of repair.  Her idea of excellent service is that of Ace In Calamba.  The  flowers are full at the bottom of casket:

We should spray insecticides to control the ants, and polish the metal of the caskets daily  (to be done by the attendants)

Can we benchmark the above for P150,000 packages?

2.  Let us read refer to this site and publication which we researched so hard.

The immortalization business has radically changed

Getting higher and stronger

Angono, Rizal Philippines

We do not wish to profess to be experts in this business:

MEMORIALIZATION
IMMORTALIZATION

Our sales and bottom line have yet to show that.

The leaders are no longer the memorial parks, though how large they are.  Compare that with only P400 million for the largest and biggest memorial park and P21 billion prepaid memorial plans for the one and only life plan in the country that survives.  All others are in rehab.

I read that clearly the direction of the businesses in memorialization, the opportunites, (where money is to be made are in:

1.  cremation
2.  services  <funeral, chapel use>

The big memorial park has blocked itself out of the opportunity by partnering with a funeral homes (which profited much from the partnership) they are expanding beyond the memorial park and the memorial park is marooned, mated (in chess terms) with the arrangement

The memorial park was a cute concept then. With so many sprouting all over the country, it does not look so good business. Consolidating them would perhaps be a better idea.

Or setting up memorial gardens, or the Loyola type of projects now

Why should you buy a memorial park plot? A slideshare presentation

Holy Gardens Memorial Park - A Special Place where our Loved Ones are Remembered in a Special Way

Angono Rizal   |  PHL |  April 25, 2013

Most prospects pose barriers to sellers of memorial park lots.  However, it the experience that there are many cases of those who grieve who find difficulty in dealing with the financial requirement of a burial.  Even our employees found this challenge even though they bought plots and were amortizing the balance.

The distinction between obituaries and memorialization

Holy Gardens Memorial Park - A Special Place where our Loved Ones are Remembered in a Special Way

From Love to Know about death and dying | a year ago.

What is the difference between obituaries and memorialization?

Obituaries are short stories written announcing the person's death, schedule of interment, place of viewing and his immediate relatives.  They used to be published at the newspapers;  most of them are in the internet now.

Memorialization are small gatherings of friends and relatives where the deceased is remembered by speeches, eulogies, pictures, memorial displays,  and even audio visual presentation.  You must have a guide on what to say during eulogies - dos and donts - what to say and not to say.

Memorialization - Our MVP (Main Value Proposition)

Holy Gardens Memorial Park - A Special Place where our Loved Ones are Remembered in a Special Way

In one of our Memorial Parks in the south, a concern was raised by the absence and/or slow development.  This is currently being addressed;  the backfilling was delayed because there was a major infrastructure project by the government (airport construction) thus we did not get any contractor for the backfilling.  Backfilling is now underway and that concern can be addressed. <This is not to mention the negative mindsets of executives who were assigned there and huge employee thefts>

However our main value proposition that must be communicated to our customers is in this post banner:   "A Special Place where our Loved Ones are Remembered in a Special Way".  We excel in this and we will communicate this to our customer and we will deliver consistently and always.

The need for memorialization

Holy Gardens Memorial Park - A Special Place for Remembering Loved Ones

To memorialize is is a basic human need:  from both the person and the loved ones who want to remember the deceased.  We want to be remembered as a person and the great deeds  we have done, and the loved ones want a permanent structure to remember the deceased.

Thus we even memorials for the WWII veterans, for the Vietnam war, the 9/11 victims, the plane crash victims.  According to the psychologists,  the loss of the loved ones can be mitigated by the establishment  of these permanent structures;   a sort of being close by, being there is established and thus the hurt and loss can be lessened.

Thus the need for a memorial park and the possession of a lot, a niche or an estate -  to perpetuate the good deeds and memory of a loved one..

Memorialization

The World did not end today, December 21, 21012, Thanks God!

Holy Gardens Memorial Park - A Special Place for Remembering Loved Ones

Despite the movies of the same title, the doomsday shows at the cable tv, the Nostradamus predictions, the world did not end today, December 2l, 2012.  Thanks be to God.  Praise the Lord.  Amen.

What would have happenned if the world ended today?

Really, why did people conclude that the world will end today?

l.  The Mayan calendar which ends today.  It could be that they simply forgot WTDN -  forgot a new calendar continuation.

2.  The volcanic activity or possibility of a gigantic volcanic eruption at Yellowstone National park which scientists predict could be catastrophic

3.  The alignment of the planet, the planet x.  The alignment will cause tremendous gravitational pull which will cause land upheavals:   earthquakes tsunamis etc  (featured in the scary movie of the same title)

However, we should trust the Lord;  no one knows the hour and time to the day.  It will just come in the night like a thief.  It is not the wish of anyone to have the end of the world, but oft repeated phrase is we must live as if if were the last day of your life (scroll No 5 at Og Mandino's book)   We live life to the fullest without regrets.  Love those whom we love, seek forgiveness from those whom we wronged;  do a good deed daily to anyone.  Offer advice, help people in need.  Make no enemies.  Do the best you can.  Be the best you can.

Make the place a better place to live in;  remove pain and suffering.  Be an answer to someone's else prayer.  Be a blessing to someone.  Make someone smile today.

Too much?

At Holy Gardens Memorial park, we make sure that the life lived to its fullest is remembered in a special way.

Celebrate Life At Holy Gardens Memorial Park

For two years, celebrate was our motto/theme for Holy Gardens Memorial Park. With this theme, we remove the sadness and negative feeling associated with memorial park. We wish to celebrate the love and affection of our loved ones who are gone at the memorial park. They are not gone, they are with us. Their physical body may be gone but their love and memory stay with us.

More than that, their internment should not be a time for sadness - it should be a time for joy and jubilation. As in the jubilee of the ancient jews. The time when the spirit of the person returns to the womb of the creator should be a happy occasion. Therefore interments at Holy Gardens are intended to be happy and joyful, hence we have the motifs (themes) to make the interments colorful and memorable. Then we have the memory display (the stuff, the momentos of the the deceased are displayed prominently so that the conversation shall revolve on life of the beloved rather than the earthly remains (which can be sordid). We also have the electronic tribute (video, powerpoint, moviemaker, slideshow which we try to upload at slideshare, you tube and daily motion). Death of the loved one, after all is a reunion with the long unseen loved ones. And as a practice, we Filipinos lessen the group with songs, games, gambling, even concerts and less on lamentations and crying.

More than anything else, we do not want our friends to die (although today, l000 would not wake up, about 400,000 die every year in the Philippines). That is why in the blogroll at right, we have shared many articles on health and longevity. We must live longer, eat healthy food, exercise, so that we will be a blessing to others. We are blessed to be a blessing to others.

WE CELEBRATE LIFE
