What is the greatest gift of all: faith, hope or charity?

BIBLE VERSES:   King James Version

1 Corinthian 13:1-2, and 13: 13

13: 1 - 2 -  Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity, I become as sounding brass or tinkling cymbal.  And though I have the gift of prophecy and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and though have I all faith,  so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity,  I am nothing

13: 13. -  And now abideth faith, hope and charity,  but the greatest of all is charity

(other Bible verses say it love;  the Bible I have and Dating Daan says it charity)   1 Corinthian 13: 13 KJV

1.  Thus we have adopted Mercy and Compassion (as advocated by Pope Francis when he visited the Philippines) as one of  our advocacies.   When he started the funeral and chapel services

       a.  We started selling special plots on low interest, low monthly payment, no down payment 60 months to pay scheme

      b.  We offered even in 2017, zero interest

     c.  We provided outright commission to create jobs, to help the sellers who are in need, and even high  commission rate up to 17% on NLP

2.  And recently we announced for this quarter, we are dedicating 10% of our Net Income for charitable purposes:

     a.  Feeding program                 10%

     b.   Home for the aged             10%

     c.  Orphanages                        10%

     d.  Public school building         70%

We might revise our vision statement:

TO PROVIDE COMPLETE AFFORDABLE MEMORIALIZATION SERVICES TO EVERY ONE"
in the next 5 years

Reflection:   What are acts of charity that you are going to be committed to?

(Every one is required to comment)

Our work as offering to the Lord

Rizal Philippines  | January 19, 2015

During the mass at Luneta for Sto Nino yesterday, which was said by the Holiness Pope Francis, during the offertory, the TV commentator said that we offer precious thing to the Lord.  sometimes this involves our life but mostly our job.

Our jobs are offering to the Lord.

Our vocation is where God places us to be,   We are most useful where God wants us to be.

Our work is Work as prayer

Our mission statements and theme of "Mercy and Compassion" by the Holy Pope Francis jive

T shirt for launch of Chapel and Memorial Services

His Holiness Pope Francis just ended his 5 day sojourn in the Philippines.  (January 15 - 19, 2015) His visit marked many first - 1.    the biggest ever crowd to welcome him and celebrate mass together in Luneta with 6 million in attendance; 2   first time to celebrate mass under the rain and with typhoon.   There are other first in his visit:  first Jesuit to be Pope  first American to be Pope.  Surely he will leave fond memories to to many people who saw, touched him and talked to him

(The INC centennial celebration pales in comparison (and there were no hakot;  the pilgrims came and spent on their own)

But the biggest and most important take home lesson we should remember is MERCY AND COMPASSION.  His important mission was to empathize with the victims of typhoon Yolanda - who experienced grief with loss of loved ones and massive loss of properties.

The Passion of Jesus Christ

Mother Teresa caring for the poor and destitute at the streets of India

What are mercy and compassion?

Mercy to be kind; to be helpful to have pity.  In the midst of growing disparity between rich and poor, growing selfishness of people we forget.

Compassion - to be one with people who love what they do in suffering.   Missionaries, workers, OFW deserve compassion.  As those who live in slum areas, street children, those who are victims of human trafficking, sleep children.

Jesus Christ, the Good Shepherd possess these two important traits and the Pope simply wants to reemphasize this if we want to live as Christians

What are we doing at Holy Gardens about Mercy and Compassion?

1.  We grieve with families of the deceased.  Jesus Christ wept when his friend Lazarus died.  We lessen the grief with:  prayers, ceremonies, to make the pain of losing more bearable and superior customer customer

We make interments a joyful celebration as returning the life that has been borrowed from the Creator, as a Jewish celebration of the Jubilee

What are we going to do about Mercy and Compassion?

Without us having talked with Pope Francis, we are making a proactive response to this call for Mercy and Compassion.  As we pursue the acquisition of a Memorial Plan Company (Destiny Financial Plan Inc) and the establishment Chapel and Memorial Services (and feverishly prepare for its start on January 24, 2015, we are indeed answering a call from the Lord to help his suffering flocks especially at their hour of need.

The cost of dying has been accelerating of the less fortunate, the destitute, and underprivileged

Karuwahe for about to be established Chapel and Memorial Services in in Holy Gardens Calamba

      These are our business objectives:
1.  Vision:     To provide affordable memorial plans to one out of every 5 homes in the country.

"Every Juan (one) must have a memorial plan

2.  Mission:

    1. To provide unique and unforgettable memorialization services

    2.  To provide affordable memorial services to every one (with the P20 and P35 packages)

    3.  To assist the indigent in their memorial needs through free infant caskets, 10 to 12t services and help desk contributions from the Memorial Park, Chapel and Memorial services.

The HGMP Interment service, Chapel Memorial Service and Memorial Plans are tasked with making regular quarterly contribution of 5% of their gross profit

#2 and #3 mission statements are social and religious.  We hope the Lord will give us good comments when we come face to face with Him

They are in line with the philosophy of Pope Francis on "Mercy and Compassion"  Luck has it that we planned ahead for this

Everyone should understand that our vocation, what God calls us to do, and be the best in it, is to pursue these goals

Thus everyone should support what we are trying to do rather than slowing things down , or being a hindrance
