Since 9th century to recognize Saints both known and known. All who were  baptized and part of church.
All Souls Day celeb started in 11th Century.  We talk about people whose sainthood is less than perfect and have taints.   Thats why we practice prayers for the dead.  RIP started as early as 1st century.

Significance of the Celebration of All Saints Day

The #memorial experts

November 1, 2016

Today November 1 is All Saints Day (All Hallow's day)  This is a celebration for the Christians to remind us of the depth and breadth of Christians who came before us. and all the saints of Christendom throughout the world.   In the discernment of a famous Filipino preacher, those who were canonized (declared as Saints by Vatican) and those who became Christians during the early ties. Their work, enabled the Christian religion to be what it is now.

It is a time too for most Filipinos to remember the deeds and the lives, laughter, love and legacy of the departed loved ones.  Today as we visit their memorials today (the tombstone the marker) we are reunited once more with their memories.

It is a fiesta of sort where we celebrate life, our lives and their lives that we connect.   We are not what we are now without our parents.  Thus in memorial park we celebrate life.   As our loved ones go to other life in a journey.

It is a time for reunion.   Our loved ones come home from abroad and from elsewhere in the country to celebrate the memories of our dearly departed.

But not many will be visiting the cemeteries and memorial parks.  Others have visited their loved ones last Sunday, and yesterday to avoid the maddening crowd and traffic.

Happy All Saints Day

Not too many visitors (still early?)

                                         Hindi pa matrapik?

Even the public cemetery is not crowded

Disposing of the garbage post All Saints Day is a nightmare
It could take a week disposing all of them

Lessons Learned from All Saints Day Celebration

The Holy Gardens Memorial Advantage

We learned a lot of lessons from the recent Nov. l. celebration and the visits and comments connected thereto

l. Inspection of Calapan, La Union, and Pangasinan and pictures of reality at the said places? 2. Behavior of the staff when they were visited (uniform, id, being late, attitude as they answer) 3. Tripping of electricity at Morong and non lighting of lamps at Pangasinan? 4. Our performance: sales an collection, sales reservation last Nov. l, 2011. The following must comment: ASR, ES, GH, Jobyl, Brenn Thank you.
