Kambal na bato mountain resort
Lake Naujan and Kambal na bato mt resort
Of all the SBUs we do not fete the Calapan staff. It is arrive at 11am. Brief meeting from 11 to 12, Lunch at 12 to 1 and leave for the port at 3 pm. No chance to really connect with the staff.
I earlier suggested to MLM that we have breakfast meeting at Jollibee or McDo or Maxs. However, we have problems with the credit card./cash flow problem. Upon learning that the mother in law of Mildred has a resort elsewhere I suggested we have a lunch there to which she agreed.
After meeting with the staff in the morning of Saturday. (the main road was closed for Mardi Gras and parade (the nth anniversary of Calapan) we left at 1130 for Dulangan 3 where the resort was located. The resort was diversion of the stream from Mt Halcon to a a man made lagoon/swimming pool. It is at the foot of Mt. Halcon The trip took one hour on mostly rough road. We had the two CSS, Mildred, one GC, and one SE: Ms Adis.
It was a sight to behold. : clear flowing water, nature at its best. We were at the foot of Mt Halcon. And our lunch: consisted of rice, fried pla pla, sinigang na isda, and sinigang na baboy.
Mildred pala hails from Sto Tomas Pampanga and they ran a carinderia before at Escano. That is why we had good lunch.
I bought some bananas for them as our desert. We met the mother in law of Mildred who said she is also caretaker of the Mangyan. Then we crossed the Lantungan bridge which connected to the Mangyan village. It was scary crossing, much nerve wracking than zip line (which was over in 3 seconds) The swaying bridge crossing seemed to last forever
After one hour of lunch, we bid goodbye to the mother in law of Mildred and another l hour of rough ride and then I had to catch a boat for Batangas at Fast Cat.
I hope that with this bonding experience and teambuilding, we would have connected with the Calapan staff on the way to victory
